We're at an early and critical stage and we need someone who can embed directly with customers, understand their problems deeply, and build solutions that stick. Note this role requires office presence 5 days aa week.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO\n\nEmbed on-site with enterprise customers to understand their workflows, data, and the problems they can't solve with existing tools.\n\nDesign and build production AI systems — agents, LLM pipelines, evaluation harnesses — tailored to each customer's environment.\n\nOwn deployments end to end: from the initial technical discovery call to production rollout and customer sign-off.\n\nTranslate messy, ambiguous business problems into clean technical solutions — sometimes in the same meeting they're described.\n\nFeed real-world deployment learnings back into the product roadmap.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\nStrong software engineering background from a company that holds a high bar eg; Palantir, Stripe, Databricks, Datadog, Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar.\n\nHands‑on experience building and deploying LLM‑based systems to production not demos, not prototypes.\n\n4+ years of engineering experience with the systems depth to back it up.\n\nComfortable in a customer‑facing environment, you can present to a CTO and pair‑program with their engineers in the same afternoon.\n\nFDE is your first choice, not a fallback. You want to be deployed, not behind a desk.\n\nBased in SF or willing to relocate. This role is in‑person.\n\nBONUS POINTS\nYou've done this beofre, solutions engineering with real coding, or technical deployment at a company like Palantir.\n\nCompetitive programming, published research, or open source contributions that show technical depth beyond the day job.\n\nExperience with agentic frameworks, evaluation harnesses, or inference optimization.\n\nWHAT THIS IS NOT\nThis is not a solutions engineering role where someone else writes the code. This is not a big‑tech backup plan. And this is not for someone who wants to spend 80% of their time in Jira. You'll be in the field, building real things, for customers who will notice immediately if it doesn't work.\n\nWHY US\nOur start up is at an inflection point.
