This is a hands-on machining role with added responsibility to support production flow, quality, and team performance.Machining & Technical ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC vertical milling machinesPerform tooling changes, offset adjustments, and positional correctionsMaintain production pace at or above expected ratesComplete part changeovers efficientlyInspect first-run and in-process parts using calipers, micrometers, and optical equipmentRead and interpret complex blueprints, inspection packets, and GD&TIdentify issues and make real-time process adjustmentsMaintain quality standards and minimize scrapLeadership & Shift Support ResponsibilitiesServe as a point person for second shift machinistsCommunicate daily production goals set by supervisory leadershipAssist with onboarding and training of new team membersProvide daily touchpoints and coaching to support performanceHelp make real-time operational decisions to keep production movingCommunicate shift performance, concerns, and wins to the supervisory teamModel and enforce strong 5S, safety, and preventive maintenance practicesIdentify high performers and skill gaps within the shiftWhat We're Looking ForThis role is for someone who takes pride in doing things right and is ready to step up.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of CNC machining experience (milling preferred)Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint readingExperience with tooling, offsets, and high-speed machiningAbility to accurately use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, optical equipment)Strong communication and teamwork skillsSelf-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiativeDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to stand and walk for the duration of a full shiftPreferred (Not Required)Experience in aerospace or medical manufacturingInformal leadership, mentoring, or training experienceTechnical education or machining certificateAbout Gaishin ManufacturingGaishin Manufacturing is a family-owned, second-generation company built on faith, craftsmanship, and people.
