This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.\nPlease note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/ Spring 2026.\nThe Data Architect responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nDesign and manage the data architecture that underpins the MARS system\nDevelop comprehensive data models, schemas, and storage solutions that ensure efficient data integration, retrieval, and analysis\nEstablish data governance frameworks, standardize data definitions, and implement best practices to maintain data quality and consistency across the system\nWork closely with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business requirements and to optimize performance, scalability, and security\nGuide the team in deploying advanced data management tools and technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility\nQualifications\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph\nBachelor’s Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 10 years or more of related experience; Masters and 8 years or more experience (an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree)\nActive Certification: Security+, SecurityX/ CASP+, CCNP Security, CISSP, CISA, Cloud+, or CISM\nExtensive experience in leading the development of data architectures, optimizing database systems, and ensuring data governance\nProficiency in data modeling, designing data pipelines, and integrating diverse data sources\nStrong understanding of big data technologies and enterprise data management\n\nTarget salary range: $160,001 - $200,000.
