The Project Support Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all appropriate field activities, and ensuring accordance with contract documents and high-quality results. This includes providing administrative support, record keeping, reports, project scheduling, oversight of projects, and coordination of the Casino consultants on behalf of the Engineering Department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Coordinates and schedules contractors, and monitors site activities during projects.Reviews safety practices in the field.Ensures the site is secure at the completion of construction for each day.Coordinate, review and approve all MOP (Method of Procedures) for any activities that will or may impact the casino or operations of any facility on site.Ensures testing agents are properly scheduled, and utilized by the contractors.Assists with code reviews and compliance of field activities in accordance with contract documents.Coordinates work activities with the Casino Operations Team, YDH Fire Department, Tribal Cultural Department, Environmental Department, and other Tribal, local and federal agencies.Ensures construction activities are conducted in accordance with the approved schedule.Assists with monitoring construction contract closeouts and maintains documentation files.Assists with coordination of plans, specifications, material data, and other items for review and approval by Tribal Code Compliance Reviewers.Ensures County requirements are met for construction projects.Assists Engineering team in the coordination and performance of all construction related activities.Assists the Director of Facilities with review and confirmation of all Change Order requests in providing actual labor, equipment and materials on-site for the performance of Change Order work.Monitors long lead times by interacting with consultants, clients and construction contractors.Reviews record meeting minutes and publishes corrections prior to approval.Ensures compliance with the Tribe’s Cultural Department requirements for site work.Ensures compliance with the projects Tax Exemption requirements.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Education And/or ExperienceMust have 5 years of construction field experience in large-scale construction (campus) projects. Ability to review RFI’s and subcontractor submittals, change orders, and plans.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, building and civil plans, project specifications, geotechnical reports, fire alarm reports, and acoustic reports. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
