Please note, this is not a Professional Engineer position. This is an entry-level position designed to grow into a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Preconstruction Manager. Local candidates to DFW strongly preferred.\nA Project Engineer plays an essential role in the success of all stages of a project. This includes assisting the project team through the decision, planning, and execution phases with the aim of defining and creating value for our clients.\nWhat you will be doing in this role:\nOffice Assignment\n\nAssist in bid solicitation, takeoffs and bid scope review\nConduct subcontractor reference checks\nExpedite Joint Check Agreements, Letters of Credit and Personal Guarantee\nExpedite contract execution and receive insurance certifications\nSchedule and participate in buyout meetings\nAssist in Site Evaluations & Due Diligence trips\nPrice value generated ideas\nExecute Cost Management/Control by assisting in both Pay Application and Change Order processes\nUpdate the jobsite plans and Contract Exhibits\n“Start Strong | Finish Strong” through the project start up and close out process\nPrepare submittal logs and material delivery logs for the field\nLead an effective OAC meeting\nCreate, maintain, and update project schedules\nPrepare and present monthly Project Status Reports (PSR)\n\nField Assignment\n\nRead, understand, and execute requirements within project specifications\nReview and understand executed subcontract agreements\nEmbrace our culture of quality by participating in Preconstruction meetings, as well as conducting 1st Work, In-Progress, and Close Up Inspections\nReview submittals & shop drawings with Superintendents\nAssist in weekly project schedule updates\nParticipate in weekly Trade Partner Coordination meetings, and other meetings as needed\nBuild strong relationships with trade partners by ensuring they have updated drawings, RFI responses, submittals, and schedules\nUnderstand and participate in the Client Experience (CX) process\nIdentify and mitigate safety and SWPPP issues\nExpedite RFI’s and maintain the RFI log\nWhat you will need for this role:\nBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related area preferred\nExperience in commercial construction is preferred, but not required\nWell organized and able to accomplish a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner\nMust be goal oriented\nAbility to identify, investigate and quantify onsite issues, with corresponding resolutions and consequences\nStrong leadership potential with desire to learn and grow\nWillingness and ability to relocate with assigned jobs\nNight and weekend work may be required\nMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.\nMust be able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods\nComputer knowledge and efficiency, with the ability to learn specific web-based and software applications: SharePoint, Procore, Bluebeam, Phoenix Scheduling Software\n\nEOE.
