This position works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and contract requirements. The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting day‑to‑day project operations and maintaining effective communication between office and field teams.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nAssist project management teams with planning and coordination of water and wastewater construction projects\n\nSupport project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activities\n\nCoordinate and review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and project documentation\n\nPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with quantity tracking and reporting\n\nAssist with procurement and coordination of subcontractors, materials, and equipment\n\nParticipate in project meetings, including owner meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetings\n\nMaintain accurate project records, daily reports, and document control systems\n\nAssist with change order preparation, pricing, and tracking\n\nMonitor project progress and support implementation of corrective actions as needed\n\nSupport quality control and ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements\n\nPerform field walks and coordinate with superintendents and field personnel to verify progress and address project needs\n\nAssist with project closeout activities, including punch lists and As-Built documentation\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned to support successful project delivery\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nMinimum of 4+ years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil, water, or wastewater projects\n\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred\n\nUnderstanding of water and wastewater infrastructure construction, including treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utilities preferred\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts\n\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills\n\nStrong prioritization and time management abilities; detail‑oriented\n\nProficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word\n\nExperience with project management, scheduling, or cost control software preferred\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team\n\nMust be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company vehicle to work sites, offices, and other required locations\n\nMust be able to walk on uneven terrain and work in active construction environments\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working with Us\nAt Crescent Constructors, Inc., we invest in our people because they are the foundation of our success.
