Learn more about the benefits of joining Team UES and our core values at careers.teamues.com.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Threshold Engineer serves as a technical resource throughout project lifecycles and collaborates closely with teammates, clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.\nResponsibilities:\n\nServe as the qualifier for threshold inspection services on commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.\nAdhere to and institute quality assurance procedures, conduct field observations, site visits, and structural assessments during the building construction phases.\nProvide guidance to the duly authorized representatives via training and oversee their work\nMonitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans specifications applicable, building codes and regulatory requirements.\nReview shop drawings, submittals, and construction documents.\nIdentify construction deficiencies, non-conforminh work, and potential safety concerns\nPrepare detailed engineering reports, inspection documentation, and corrective action recommendations.\nCoordinate with contractors, project managers, architects, and owners to resolve technical issues.\nEnsure projects comply with local, state and federal regulations, including Threshold Building Inspectio Requirements\nMaintain accurate projecst records and inspection logs.\nParticipate in project meetings, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders\nOther duties as assigned\n\nJob Responsibilities Note:\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. UES retains the right to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).\n8+ years of experience in structural engineering and project delivery.\nActive PE license required.\nValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.\nExpertise in structural analysis software, BIM/CAD platforms, and building materials\nDeep understanding of local, state, and national building codes and design standards\nStrong client-facing skills and ability to lead cross-functional project teams.\nProven ability to manage complexity, mentor others, and deliver technically sound solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSpecial Inspector (S.I.) qualifications or ability to obtain it within one year\nTravel Requirements:\nThis position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments.
