This role requires a strong background in backend development, cloud technologies, secure software engineering, and modern DevSecOps practices.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain secure backend components for modern web applications using industry-standard frameworks and technologies.\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems while supporting multi-model integrations with Frontier AI platforms.\nWrite clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows secure coding practices and established software engineering standards.\nCollaborate with product managers, designers, frontend developers, and other technical stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement new features.\nParticipate in peer code reviews to maintain high code quality, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to development best practices.\nTroubleshoot application issues, resolve backend performance bottlenecks, and optimize system reliability and scalability across both classified and unclassified environments.\nContinuously evaluate emerging backend technologies, cloud capabilities, and advancements in the generative AI landscape to support ongoing innovation.\nRequired Qualifications:\nActive TS/SCI security clearance.\nStrong experience developing backend applications using Golang, Python, or comparable programming languages.\nExperience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL or similar technologies.\nFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.\nSolid understanding of web application security principles, secure software design, authentication methods, and cybersecurity best practices.\nExperience developing and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes.\nExperience working with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) experience and/or industry certifications.\nMicrosoft Azure experience and/or certifications.\nAmazon Web Services (AWS) experience and/or certifications.\nExperience with DevOps methodologies, automation, and supporting toolsets.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nDemonstrated curiosity and commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, cloud services, and the rapidly evolving field of generative artificial intelligence.\n\nAt IT Veterans LLC, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
