Correspondence with the company will only be made from Castlehillgaming.com e-mails addresses.Position SummaryThe Bench Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic components and assemblies used in slot machines and gaming devices. This role ensures all hardware meets regulatory compliance, quality standards, and operational performance requirements prior to deployment in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform component-level troubleshooting and repair of slot machine hardware, including:Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)Power suppliesDisplays (LCD/LED)Bill validators, printers, and peripheral devicesConduct functional testing, burn-in testing, and validation of repaired and new unitsUse diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzersInterpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationIdentify root causes of hardware failures and document findingsMaintain accurate service records, repair logs, and inventory usageEnsure all repairs meet internal QA standards and gaming regulatory requirementsAssist in prototype builds, engineering testing, and product development as neededCollaborate with QA, Engineering, and Field Service teams to resolve recurring issuesMaintain ESD-safe work environment and follow all safety protocolsRequired QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in electronics repair or bench technician roleStrong knowledge of:Electronic components and circuit theorySoldering and rework techniques (SMT and through-hole)Experience using diagnostic and testing equipmentAbility to read and interpret schematics and technical manualsStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyPreferred QualificationsExperience in gaming, casino, or regulated industriesFamiliarity with slot machine hardware platforms and peripheralsUnderstanding of compliance standards (e.g., GLI, jurisdictional gaming requirements)Basic knowledge of embedded systems or firmware troubleshootingKey CompetenciesAnalytical problem-solvingPrecision and quality focusTime management and productivityTeam collaborationAdaptability in a fast-paced technical environmentWorking ConditionsPrimarily bench/lab environment with occasional warehouse or production floor exposureMay require lifting up to 40 lbsStandard work hours with occasional overtime to meet production deadlinesThis position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description.
