This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies, reduce unplanned downtime, optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe Reliability & Maintenance Engineer utilizes data analysis, root cause failure analysis, asset management principles, and engineering best practices to maximize equipment performance, extend asset life, and support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations.\n\nThis is a Hybrid role and will require domestic travel up to 75% and international travel up to 10%\n\nWhat You'll do as am Advanced Reliability and Maintenance Engineer\nDevelop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime and operational performance. Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle costs.\nAnalyze equipment failures and recurring issues to determine root causes and corrective actions.\nSupport implementation of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.\nEstablish and monitor key reliability metrics including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).\nDevelop, optimize, and sustain preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs.\nEvaluate maintenance plans and equipment maintenance requirements.\nDevelop maintenance procedures, job plans, standard work instructions, and equipment standards.\nComply with all applicable cGMP, ISO and OSHA regulations\nUtilize condition monitoring technologies such as:\n\nVibration analysis\nThermography\nUltrasound inspection\nOil analysis\nElectrical monitoring\nAnalyze predictive maintenance data and recommend proactive corrective actions.\nIdentify failure trends and implement solutions before equipment breakdown occurs.\nLead initiatives focused on reducing downtime, increasing equipment availability, and improving maintenance effectiveness.\nApply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies to improve asset performance.\nSupport continuous improvement projects that improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance.\nConduct benchmarking and best-practice evaluations for maintenance and reliability programs\nParticipate in capital projects involving new equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements.\nEnsure reliability and maintainability principles are incorporated into equipment design and procurement processes.\nSupport equipment commissioning, startup, validation, and performance verification activities.\nDevelop equipment criticality assessments and lifecycle management plans.\nSupport compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in risk assessments, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and safety investigations.\nEnsure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established procedures and standards.\nSupport audits and compliance inspections as required\nSupport maintenance teams with troubleshooting complex equipment and system failures.\nRecommend equipment modifications and upgrades to improve reliability and performance.\nThe Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed\n\nRequired Experience\n\nBachelor’s Degree – Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or related discipline\n8+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial operations\n5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, processing, pharmaceutical, medical device, sterilization, packaging, chemical, or industrial production environments preferred.\n5+ years of experience with maintenance systems and asset management programs preferred.\n4+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.\nTechnical specification development and document control\nData analysis, cost optimization, and project management\nCommunication, influencing, problem-solving, and stakeholder management\nReliability engineering principles\nPreventive and predictive maintenance methodologies\nRoot cause failure analysis (RCFA)\nReliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)\nFailure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)\nAsset lifecycle management\nManufacturing equipment and process systems\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nProject management experience – certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) Certification\nCertified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.\nExperience with predictive maintenance technologies and Industry 4.0 solutions.\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements within pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of Design Controls, cGMPs, AutoCad and MS literacy preferred.\nLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\n\n#LI-RC1\n\nPay range for this opportunity is $107,525.00 - $139,150.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.\n\nMinimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
