Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning2. Develop instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time3. Instruct pupils in subject areas as specified in state law, curricula, and guidelines established by the local board of education and administrative regulations4. Provide individual and small group instruction whenever appropriate5. Adapt curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and special abilities6. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive environment7. Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day, as required8. Evaluate each pupil's performance and growth in knowledge and understanding; monitor progress toward learning outcomes; prepare progress reports9. Communicate with parents and school counselors on pupil progress; promote positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships10. Maintain basic attendance accounting and business services, as required11. Serve as resource person on interdepartmental level12. Adhere to all federal, state, and local educational policies13.
