The role reports directly to the Vice President of A&D and works alongside our experienced Business Development and Global Account leaders. Central to this role is the ability to understand customer care-abouts and drive corporate solutions and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) flow-downs, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) reporting, CMMC, and Operational/Technical needs ensuring Benchmark meets critical delivery requirements with winning business strategies..\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Strategic Capture Leadership\nEnd-to-End Pursuit Management: Lead the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification to proposal submission and post-award transition.\nShaping & Influencing: Work with our BDEs to successfully execute customer engagement plans that shape acquisition strategies and requirements in favor of company capabilities.\nWin Strategy Development: Support the derivation of differentiated win themes, value propositions, and competitive positioning strategies that increase the probability of win (Pwin).\nStakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior Benchmark leadership, site program managers, and A&D team members across all organizational functions.\n2. Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Governance\nFAR/DFARS Mastery: Ensure all capture activities and subsequent proposals strictly adhere to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).\nCAS Reporting & Disclosure: Oversee the alignment of pricing strategies with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), managing disclosure statements and reporting to mitigate audit risks.\nCompliance Flowdowns: Manage the \"flowdown\" of mandatory FAR/DFARS clauses to subcontractors (i.e., CMMC), ensuring end-to-end Benchmark solution compliance.\nGate Review Discipline: Lead formal \"Decision Gate\" reviews on capture progress and gap assessments ensuring all pursuits meet corporate financial, legal, and operational risk benchmarks.\n3. Proposal Leadership & Pricing Strategy\nCross-Functional Team Management: Direct multi-disciplinary A&D proposal plans consisting of quote/pricing analysts, engineers, and supply chain experts to develop complex, compliant cost models.\nPrice-to-Win (PTW): Utilize data analytics and competitive intelligence to establish data-driven Price-to-Win models that balance profitability with market competitiveness.\nProposal Integration: Partner closely with the A&D BDEs and GAMs to ensure our operational and technical solutions are seamlessly integrated with pricing and compliance artifacts.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience\n10–15+ years of progressive experience in business development, capture management, or program management within the Aerospace & Defense industry.\nProven track record of monitoring/driving large-scale contract wins (e.g., $10M+ to $100M+) with large DoD Contractors or Commercial Aerospace industry\nDemonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams through the rigorous Business Acquisition Process (BAP).\nTechnical Knowledge\nExpertise in various contract types, including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and complex IDIQ vehicles.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. Government budgeting, procurement cycles, and the requirements development process.\nProficiency in capture management tools such as Salesforce (CRM), GovWin, and Microsoft Power BI for pipeline tracking.\nSecurity Clearance\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nDesired: Possess an active Secret/SCI clearance (or the ability to obtain one).\nPreferred Skills\nExecutive Presence: Ability to brief C-suite executives and senior leadership with clarity and authority.\nStrategic Agility: Capacity to pivot capture strategies quickly in response to shifting geopolitical priorities or competitor moves.\nAdvanced Education: Master’s degree in business (MBA) or a technical field (Engineering/Management) preferred, not required\nEducation:\nBachelor's Degree in related engineering field, Masters Degree nice to have.
