This role involves performing analytical and physical testing, monitoring process quality, troubleshooting quality issues, and ensuring compliance with internal specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.\n\nAs a QA Associate - Chemist you will:\n\nConduct routine chemical and physical tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nPerform analytical tests such as viscosity, gel time, curing properties, filler content, and moisture analysis.\nUse instruments such as FTIR, DSC, TGA, GC, HPLC, and viscometers for material characterization.\nVerify batch conformity with product specifications and document all test results accurately.\nReport any non-conforming results and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action.\nPrepare and label samples for testing and retain storage.\nAccurately record test results in lab notebooks and/or electronic databases.\nCollaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve formulation or process-related quality issues.\nEnsure that all laboratory activities comply with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.\nMaintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure workspace cleanliness.\nFollow all laboratory safety guidelines and procedures.\nParticipate in safety audits, equipment calibrations, and laboratory maintenance.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWe are looking for someone who has:\n\nA Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related field.\n1-3 years of hands-on experience in a QC or analytical lab, preferably in chemical manufacturing or polymer systems.\nFamiliarity in wet chemistry and instrumental techniques required including\nFTIR\nDSC\nViscosity measurements\nStrong knowledge of laboratory data systems and documentation practices.\nExcellent technical writing skills and verbal communication of testing results.\nAble to effectively communicate (verbal, written, presentations) across all levels of the organization.\nStrong attention to detail and have ability to independently work under minimal supervision.\nProven experience with computers; Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project or equivalents.\n\nIdeally you will also:\n\nBe able to read and interpret technical standards.\nHave experience with thermoset systems (e.g., epoxies) and cure kinetics.\nHave experience with additional testing equipment including\nShimadzu testers\nTGA\nKarl Fischer Titration\nRheometer\n\nThe working conditions of the role are:\n\nGeneral Office Environment, PC use\nLight Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)\nStooping\nStanding\nHeavy Lifting (frequent 25 lbs +)\n\nWhat we offer you:\n\nTypical pay is $61,433 - 75,257 annually.\n\nPlease note the pay information shown above is a general guideline.
