a Software Developer (Level 2 – Mid-Level) to join them on a consulting engagement, supporting the development of core systems within a large-scale programme.\r\nThis role will focus on hands-on full-stack development of Java-based applications, contributing to the delivery of key digital components while collaborating within an agile team environment.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDevelop and maintain software components across backend and frontend layers using Java and modern frameworks\r\nImplement features for core systems including backend services, testing tools, and web portals\r\nBuild and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices with databases and external systems\r\nContribute to unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks\r\nCustomise and configure tools and frameworks to meet project-specific requirements\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring high-quality and stable software delivery\r\nCollaborate with senior developers (Level 3) to improve code quality and system performance\r\nParticipate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and progress reviews\r\nMaintain technical documentation for developed components and support knowledge transfer\r\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\r\n4+ years of experience in software development, with strong full-stack exposure\r\nSolid expertise in Java development using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Micronaut\r\nExperience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures\r\nExperience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB\r\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)\r\nExperience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban)\r\nExposure to automated testing tools (e.g. JUnit, Selenium)\r\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks\r\nExcellent communication skills in English\r\nSeniority
