In this role, you will report to the Product Line Manager.\n\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nProviding exceptional customer support, on a global basis, to help sales close deals as well as support customer’s technical inquiries. You will be able to troubleshoot potential system errors, replicate customer challenges and develop potential solutions in order to solve their problems. In addition, you will recommend potential systems, configure, test, and ship to the customer. You will occasionally travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting of their equipment. You will enhance the customer experience by creating application and technical media that promotes and supports our products. Finally, you will work closely with R&D to verify correct performance against specifications and help test and troubleshoot new designs. Key responsibilities include:\n\nProvides both pre-sales and post-sales technical product marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex products, such as operating systems and capital equipment\nAssists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications\nManagement of a Spectroscopy Applications Lab\nEvaluation of system performance against established protocols and or existing manuals\nMakes and updates technical presentations regarding all aspects of company products\nProvides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications to service personnel, company sales representatives, and customer’s employees\nField service and support\nImplements detailed customer installation requirements\nTravel Requirements: Up to 20% of travel is required.\n\nSkills You Bring:\nYou will have a proven track record of customer support and technical depth in highly specialized products. You will excel in a self-motivated way to explore problems with customers and find innovative ways to come to a solution. You will contribute to a highly technical and dynamic environment and will have the following capabilities and backgrounds.\nBachelor of Science in Engineering degree OR equivalent experience in Applications Engineering\n2+ years of related experience in Applications Engineering\nExperience with scientific test and measurement equipment\nExcellent written and verbal skills\nDetailed time and task management skills\n\nPreferred Skills:\n\nAbility to read and understand engineering documentation (schematics, CAD, technical drawings, etc.)\nMicrosoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nSalesforce knowledge\nSAP Knowledge\nValid US Passport\n\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for 70% of the time\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery\nThis job operates in a professional office environment\nDynamic work conditions due to domestic and international travel\nWe are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
