Associate Landscape Architect

Responsibilities Design Development & Technical Documentation Supporting the Principal LA with design development for custom residential projects. Preparing clear, accurate site and landscape construction documents, details, diagrams, and presentation graphics using CAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software. Assisting in preparing planting plans, hardscape details, detailed grading and drainage plans, and material palettes reflective of design intent. Preparing submittal packages for permitting and architectural review Site Analysis & Research Conduct site visits and field measurements as needed to document existing conditions. Analyze site constraints (topography, vegetation, utilities, drainage, microclimate) to inform design decisions. Project Coordination Collaborate with internal team members and, as appropriate, consultants (architects, civil engineers, landscape contractors) to integrate design components. Help manage drawing sets, track revisions, and maintain organized project files. Construction Support Assist with construction support activities (shop drawing review, responding to RFIs, field observations) as assigned by the Principal. Help ensure that built work reflects design intent and specifications. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, or equivalent. 2–5 years of professional experience (residential design experience preferred). Competency in CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, Rhino/Grasshopper, Microsoft Office products, and/or other 3D modeling tools. Strong visual communication skills- hand sketching, diagrams, renderings. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience with planting design, grading/drainage principles, and construction detailing is preferred. Understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes and residential construction practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
