Description:
We are looking for an experienced Natural Gas Plumber to help with our SoCalGas projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing natural gas systems, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Locate gas and sewer lines with push camera
Install, inspect, and repair natural gas pipelines and fixtures according to industry standards and regulations.
Conduct pressure tests, leak detection, and system diagnostics to ensure the safety and integrity of natural gas systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute natural gas projects.
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine project requirements and ensure accurate installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to natural gas systems, including identifying and repairing leaks, malfunctions, and failures.
Provide training and guidance to junior plumbers and apprentices on natural gas systems and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for billing and reporting purposes.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plumber, with a focus on natural gas projects.
Valid plumbing license and certification in natural gas installation and repair.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of natural gas systems, including piping, valves, regulators, and appliances.
Handyman experience - stucco repair, concrete patching, fencing, etc. - is a plus
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to natural gas installation and repair.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring manual labor and heavy lifting.
Must be able to work weekends and overtime if needed.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/drug test
