Job Description
The Therapist will provide specialized cognitive behavioral and substance abuse counseling primarily to adult clients in a private practice setting. This role involves conducting thorough client assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, and monitoring progress through regular weekly sessions to support clients' mental health and recovery goals. ResponsibilitiesConduct client assessments to identify mental health needs and substance abuse issuesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy and substance abuse counselingProvide therapeutic interventions during weekly sessions to support client progressMonitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed Required QualificationsApplicants must meet Arizona Behavioral Health Professional qualification standards and hold one of the following Arizona licenses or credentials:LAC – Licensed Associate CounselorLPC – Licensed Professional CounselorLMSW – Licensed Master Social WorkerLCSW – Licensed Clinical Social WorkerLAMFT – Licensed Associate Marriage and Family TherapistLMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family TherapistMaster's degree in Psychology or a related fieldDPS fingerprint clearance card (required by Arizona statute for behavioral health workers)CPR/First Aid certification Preferred QualificationsEntry-level experience in therapySpecialized knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral TherapyStrong active listening and empathy skillsExperience with crisis interventionCommitment to patient confidentialityExcellent communication and problem-solving abilities
