Operator is also responsible for preparing products for shipment.\r\nEssential DutiesSet up and operate the assigned finishing equipment, which includes: table top, editing, and slitting, ensuring finished product meets quality and accuracy standards.\r\nSet up and operate packing equipment, including box formers, auto baggers, flow wrapper, heat shrink equipment, and scanning/programming equipment.\r\nSet machines controls and make needed adjustments before and during machine operations using machine's computerized and/or manual controls including speed, tension, footage, web tracking, blade setting, measuring web width, etc.\r\nPerform routine inspections of products as the material is produced. Inspect, flag, and eliminate bad material as required.\r\nSubmit required samples to the quality team and work cross functionally to ensure product quality.\r\nProactively notify management of potential quality issues which might result in failure to meet customer commitments.\r\nPerform safe material handling duties such as retrieving material from cages, racks, and warehouse; and relocating bins, boxes, and skids of material.\r\nPrepare product for shipment. May include trimming and/or pressing rolls; applying flanges; printing and applying tags and/or labels to rolls and boxes; bagging rolls; packing rolls into boxes, and other packaging requirements.\r\nNotify management of low levels of inventory on supplies, such as boxes, cores, bags, etc.\r\nReview, update or maintain proper written production, quality, and inventory documentation. This includes schedules, work orders, inventory systems, production sheets and quality logs.\r\nRead, understand, and follow engineering drawings and other product specifications, contained in the job jackets.\r\nRead, understand, and follow all SOPs for assigned tasks.\r\nPerform routine operator level maintenance and cleaning on equipment.\r\nCross train on tasks within department and operator level as assigned, based on business needs.\r\nTrain other operators on tasks as assigned.\r\nMaintain a neat and orderly work area, and other general housekeeping duties.\r\nStrictly adhere to safety regulations, security regulations and work policies.\r\nParticipate in site safety programs, such as safety catches, safety audits, safety trainings, etc.\r\nPerform other duties assigned based on business need.\r\nOur ideal candidate has a stable employment history, a positive and collaborative attitude, a desire to learn, and a demonstrated ability to work safely. Candidates selected for employment must pass a post-offer drug screen and background check.\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\r\nRelated experience in manufacturing environment preferred, including basic equipment operation, product inspection and material handling.
