Here you will be a crucial member of our dynamic and compassionate healthcare team, where your dedication as a Mental Health Technician (MHT) will positively impact the overall treatment experience for our diverse patient population.Accurately record vital signsExercise judgment in patient interactions and report changes to the RNFollow therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team and provide information for development and revisionEmploy crisis-intervention techniques, conduct MHT-led groups, and use facility-approved CPI techniquesAssist patients through discharge, guide in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygieneComply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities. Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking ForEducation: High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nursing or NAR required; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, psychology, human services, or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred. Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR certification and crisis intervention training within 10 days of employment before assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work flexible hours.
