Field Service TechnicianLocation: Charlotte, NCJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Thursday – SundayThursday & Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 12-hour shifts Pay $20–$27/hour, based on experience and qualifications 10% shift differential for 2nd shift hours Annual bonus opportunity Position OverviewAs a Field Service Technician, you will provide exceptional customer service while independently troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining high-speed cash-handling equipment. This role combines electro-mechanical repair expertise with customer-facing responsibilities and offers the opportunity to work autonomously in the field.Key Responsibilities Ensure overall customer satisfaction and provide excellent service at customer locations Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs on electro-mechanical systems Keep customers informed of repair progress and maintenance updates Complete machine installations, system upgrades, hardware/software updates, and engineering change notices Track and manage parts, tools, and equipment inventory Follow all safety guidelines and complete required safety training Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the roleQualifications Education & Experience Professional studies in electro-mechanics, electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred Certificates in mechanics, electronics, automation, data processing, or related fields are a plus 3–5 years of technical field service repair experience preferred Experience with ATMs, copier machines, currency sorters, mail sorters, check sorters, or similar equipment preferred Military, aviation, medical equipment, vending machine, or related repair experience welcomed Valid Driver’s License requiredTechnical Skills Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate problems to PCB or component level Ability to read electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings Knowledge of AC/DC power distribution and digital/analog circuitry Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email communicationProfessional Skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesPhysical & Travel Requirements Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Frequently stand, walk, kneel, bend, squat, sit, and twist throughout the workday Drive daily to customer locations using a company-provided vehicle Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends as needed Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel when required Comfortable working in a variety of customer environments, including financial institutions, retail locations, casinos, truck stops, and recreational facilitiesBenefits 401(k) with company contribution and match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Company-paid Life Insurance, AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays Paid Parental Leave Employee Assistance Program and Virtual Healthcare Services Tuition Assistance and Professional Development Programs Adoption Assistance Legal and Identity Theft Protection Plans Company Vehicle Career Growth and Internal Advancement OpportunitiesAbout The OpportunityJoin an established industry leader providing innovative automation and cash-handling solutions to financial institutions, retailers, and other commercial customers nationwide.
