Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our space missions, ensuring the reliability and performance of our reaction control systems (RCS). This role requires a deep understanding of propulsion principles and a hands-on approach to solving complex engineering challenges.\n\nSpecial Mentions\n\nRelocation provided\nTravel expected up to 25% of the time\nInterviews will include a technical assessment\n\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\n\nLead the design and analysis of on-orbit propulsion systems, with a focus on reaction control systems (RCS).\nDevelop and execute test plans for propulsion components and systems, including performance and environmental testing.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, structures, and systems engineering, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion systems.\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and operating procedures.\nSupport the full lifecycle of the propulsion system, from initial concept through in-orbit operations.\nTroubleshoot and resolve any anomalies or issues related to the propulsion system.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on propulsion systems.\nDemonstrated experience with the design, analysis, and testing of on-orbit RCS systems.\nProficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks) and fluid analysis tools.\nStrong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and combustion processes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nMaster of Science or Ph.D. in a related engineering discipline.\nExperience with a variety of propellant types, including hypergolic and electric propulsion.\nHands-on experience with propulsion system testing and data acquisition.\nFamiliarity with industry standards and best practices for spaceflight hardware.\nProven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n\nBase Pay Range for:\n\nCA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20\nWA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20\n\nOther site ranges may differ\n\nCulture Statement\n\nDon’t meet all desired requirements?
