This position offers significant potential for advancement as ARiA continues our historical pattern of significant year-on-year growth. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company, and supporting our continued growth and success.\nThe Controller will report to the Managing Member and will support the day-to-day accounting functions of the company, including:\nAccounting and Financial Operations:\nProcess all accounting transactions (invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense reports, etc.)\nDeliver accurate and timely financial functions by conducting billing and accounting functions, including government billing, management of the job-cost accounting and timekeeping systems, and managing federal and state tax deposits and employee benefit plans and deposits\nMaintain and implement controls and procedures to ensure that company assets are properly recorded and protected\nProposal and Project Support\nCollaborate with technical leads by developing cost volumes and budget and rate projections for proposals\nConduct pricing/cost analyses and assist in refining staffing plans for awarded proposals\nOversee financial management of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and budget constraints\nCollaborate with technical leads and customers to ensure timely and accurate reporting, contract modification, and contract closeout activities\nFinancial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):\nLead FP&A activities through the production of management reporting, including budgets and forecasts\nProvide financial input for operational and strategic management decisions\nCompliance and Auditing:\nEnsure a culture of compliance with cost-accounting standards for government contractors, producing timely and accurate financial data and reporting\nServe as the primary interface to outside accountants and government audit agencies\nSupport the negotiation and government review of rates for cost contracts in coordination with management and outside accounting firms\nPrepare filings in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, as well as filings and submissions for review in accordance with licensing, permits, representations, and certifications\nPayroll and Employee Support:\nEnsure compliance and timely reporting from staff for time card submissions, leave requests, and telework records\nMonitor and ensure the accuracy of payroll services\nAssist in the onboarding of staff\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\nDemonstrable mastery entering transactions and generating reports using standard accounting software (QuickBooks)\nMastery of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and other office productivity applications\nExcellent oral and written communication skills and professional manner\nProven self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver excellence in a deadline-intensive environment\nApplicants must be U.S. citizens and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
