Data Scientist

Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA. This role involves building scalable data pipelines and integrating large structured and unstructured data sources while supporting data scientists through high‑quality data preparation.Rate Range: $45/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Data Scientist Job Responsibilities IncludeDefine data requirements and wrangle large-scale structured and unstructured data, ensuring data accuracy through validation and quality checks.Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data ingestion frameworks using Databricks, Spark, and Python/PySpark.Develop and maintain data models, interfaces, and retention strategies while standardizing and cleaning data for analytics and machine learning use cases.Collaborate closely with data science and BI teams to support data preparation, visualization, and insights generation.Implement best practices in data engineering, contribute to data architecture decisions, and ensure robust integration across heterogeneous data sources.Lead and mentor junior data engineers while providing technical expertise across multiple projects.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.6–8+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years in data engineering/ETL and hands‑on experience with large datasets.Recent, hands-on experience with Databricks along with strong proficiency in Spark and its underlying concepts.Proven expertise in Python/PySpark, Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark SQL, Kafka), and building scalable, high‑performance data pipelines.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
