Operations Manager
Position SummaryThis role provides leadership for daily production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective performance while meeting targets for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. This position leads supervisory staff, supports workforce development, and drives continuous improvement across all operational areas.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery goalsMonitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performanceDevelop and manage operational plans, budgets, and staffing levelsLead maintenance coordination to ensure equipment reliability and uptimeDrive safety compliance and promote a strong safety cultureSupport inventory control, cycle counts, and material flow accuracyLead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, waste reduction, root cause analysis)Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, HR, and supply chain teamsOversee procurement planning for materials, services, and production support needsSupport hiring, training, and development of supervisors and team membersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred5+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experienceStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement toolsAbility to analyze data and drive operational improvementsStrong commitment to safety and quality standardsPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk, stand, climb, and move throughout a manufacturing environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededExposure to typical industrial conditions (noise, heat, dust, machinery)PPE required in production areas
