The Shop Supervisor oversees fleet maintenance operations and performs hands-on vehicle repairs. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.\nTransdev is proud to offer:\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $64,000 – Maximum $75,000 annually\nBenefits include:\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\nSick days: 5 days\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSchedule and oversee all fleet maintenance activities, ensuring timely and efficient service of vehicles.\nProvides direct supervision and leadership to Service Technicians and Service Writers.\nPerform hands-on diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on gas and diesel engines and related vehicle systems.\nConduct preventive maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance.\nLead diagnostic testing to identify complex mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair strategies.\nSupervise maintenance operations by planning, distributing, and delegating work assignments while monitoring performance and quality.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians, supporting skill development and adherence to safety and quality standards.\nCommunicate vehicle availability and maintenance updates with dispatch, maintenance managers, and other operations staff.\nEnsure compliance with all State, Federal, and Company regulations related to fleet operations and maintenance.\nReview and approve repair orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and cost-effectiveness.\nOrder and manage parts, fuel, and subcontracted repair services as needed.\nCoordinate facility services, including building and grounds maintenance.\nWork closely with the Location Manager to monitor maintenance budgets and operational performance.\nIdentify and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency and service quality.\nComplete assigned special projects and contribute to a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.\nQualifications:\n3+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience preferred.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nValid driver’s license\nSubject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\nPush and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
