Job Description Job Summary: The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist performs specialized imaging procedures related to cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular studies. They serve as a key resource to clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Conducts specialized examinations in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular studies. Collaborates with the intra-procedure team to optimize patient safety and care. Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance. Prepares patients and rooms for routine procedures, including patient identification, draping, and equipment setup. Reads and interprets physicians' orders, communicates protocol details to physicians as needed. Implements and monitors preventive maintenance programs and procedural standards in line with regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Possess at least 1 year of experience in Special Procedures or Cath/EP cases. Hold current ARRT or RCIS certification, Texas Medical Radiologic License, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Demonstrate experience in a critical care setting (ICU, ED, or Cath/EP Lab preferred). Document two supervisory references from within the past year.
