It is our responsibility to ensure that all technical risks associated with a product are identified and closed or mitigated to enable a successful ramp.\r\nDescription Our team works in conjunction with the New Production Introduction (NPI) group as well as other multi-functional teams across Design, Supplier Quality, Test, and Global Supply Chain Managers to ensure top quality products and drive perfection into what we do.In this highly visible technical lead role, we combine our knowledge of optics, electronics, and projector module manufacturing with mechanics and manufacturing process, process controls, and automation to deliver results.\r\nResponsibilities Work with suppliers and internal multi-functional teams, exhibiting leadership to drive yield, efficiency, and other target production metrics; operational excellence in bringing-up scalable and sustainable mass-production process\r\nAreas of ownership include factory set-up of associated optical module manufacturing, including SMT, Assembly, and Test processes\r\nExecutive-level status reports including build readiness review (BRR), new product review (NPR), etc\r\nAnalyze data from factory, customer, field to develop action plans and decisions based on the data\r\nDrive lessons learned into designs and use predictive methods to anticipate and avoid issues early in the development cycle\r\nCall out key concerns and options timely for resolutions to senior management\r\nTravel internationally approximately 20-30%\r\nMinimum Qualifications 3+ years of technical experience in a high-tech industry, with solid understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering\r\nBS in a related Engineering discipline\r\nPreferred Qualifications MS or PhD in a related Engineering discipline\r\nExperience and knowledge of statistic and data analysis tools such as Tableau, JMP, SPC, FMEA, DOE, TA, DFM, FlexSIM\r\nMeaningful experience/background in introducing products into manufacturing, and/or high volume production with Asia-based manufacturing suppliers\r\nExperience in ramping optical modules into high volume production a large plus\r\nDesire and ability for problem solving and debugging\r\nAbility to work with a wide range of people with varying degrees of experience\r\nExcellent project management skills Program / Project Management experience preferred.\r\nStrong organizational, documentation and presentation/communication skills\r\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,100 and $212,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\r\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
