This role combines technical architecture, customer engagement, and strategic solution design across enterprise hosting, hybrid cloud, storage, backup, and disaster recovery environments.\r\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable leading technical discussions with customers, designing resilient IBM i and Power-based solutions, and partnering closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver outcomes that align with business and operational goals.\r\nWhat You'll Do:Design and architect IBM Power Systems and IBM i solutions for enterprise and mid-market customers\r\nLead infrastructure modernization, migration, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery initiatives\r\nDevelop hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating colocation, managed services, cloud, and on-prem platforms\r\nServe as the technical lead during customer discovery sessions, solution presentations, and architectural reviews\r\nCollaborate with Sales teams to align technical strategy with customer business requirements\r\nCreate solution documentation, diagrams, scopes, and technical recommendations\r\nWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and operational alignment\r\nProvide technical mentorship and contribute to architectural standards and best practices\r\nWhat You'll Bring:5+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering, or related technical consulting roles\r\nStrong expertise with IBM Power Systems, IBM i (AS/400), PowerVM, and IBM PowerVS\r\nExperience designing and supporting enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions\r\nStrong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, hosting, and hybrid cloud environments\r\nExperience presenting technical solutions directly to customers and executive stakeholders\r\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts\r\nPreferred/Bonus Experience:x86 server infrastructure design and administration\r\nVMware virtualization platforms\r\nPublic cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure\r\nExperience with managed hosting or colocation environments\r\nFamiliarity with enterprise networking and security concepts\r\nWith over 20 years in business, LightEdge offers a full stack of best-in-class IT services delivering flexibility, security, and control.
