Cabinet Maker/Woodworker
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinet assembly, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various materials to create high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our clients' specifications. The Cabinet Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products are crafted to perfection, adhering to industry standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements.
Assemble cabinets and furniture using various materials, including wood, metal, and laminate.
Perform precise cutting, shaping, and finishing of materials using hand tools and power tools.
Ensure all components are plumb, level, and square during assembly for optimal quality.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Conduct repairs and restoration work on existing cabinetry as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to cabinet making and woodworking.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, design plans, and specifications.
Familiarity with various woodworking machines including table saw, chop saw, joiner, planer and hand tools.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise during the construction process.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Physical stamina for standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials when necessary.
