Works from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Maintains forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssists Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.\nAbility to operate sit down forklift and /or EPJs.\nGeneral understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.\nLoads and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.\nFlexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.\nPicking and moving stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.\nEnsures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.\nMaintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.\nProcessing outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.\nOversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.\nWorks from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers.\nRecords and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries.\nEnsures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.\nOperates forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.\nThis includes wearing of seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.\nCompletes daily forklift maintenance inspections.\nHandles all customer products properly and orderly.\nChecks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage. Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.\nReports all accidents / incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.\nSpotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.\nMaintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.\nOther tasks as assigned by manager.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nPossesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.\nGeneral understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.\nHe/she must be able to read, write, and understand English.\nAttention to detail and quality a must.\nGood communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.\nFlexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.\nPC skills helpful.\nMajor experience on sit down forklifts/EPJs\nExperience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.\nExperience in cross docking freight process.\nAbility to work in a fast paced warehouse.\nQualifications:\n3-6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit down forklifts and Electric Pallet Jacks.\nGood stable work record.\nEducation and/or Experience Required:\nHigh School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).\nWarehousing certifications a plus.\nThis is not the JD in it's entirety.\n\nReq Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability, paid holidays, time off, retirement savings plan participation, and additional employee programs.
