The ideal candidate will have extensive experience architecting and delivering cloud infrastructure through Terraform-based automation in secure, regulated environments. While hands-on experience with Azure Government Cloud is preferred—and AWS GovCloud experience is also desirable—direct government cloud experience is not required for highly qualified Terraform/IaC engineers. Work Location: Remote USA\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nServe as the Terraform subject matter expert, building reusable modules, automating infrastructure provisioning, and enforcing IaC best practices\r\nDevelop, deploy, and maintain Landing Zones or equivalent cloud foundation frameworks in Azure and/or AWS environments\r\nSupport application migration projects by designing scalable, secure cloud architectures and implementing the required infrastructure through IaC\r\nBuild secure, compliant network and identity architectures including VNET/VPC design, segmentation, policies, RBAC/IAM, and monitoring\r\nCollaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to define standards, guardrails, and automation patterns\r\nContinuously optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost management\r\nCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, IaC documentation, and operational procedures\r\nQualifications\r\nExpert-level proficiency with Terraform—including module development, testing, state management, CI/CD integration, and Git workflows\r\n5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation roles\r\nStrong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles, cloud automation, and environment lifecycle management\r\nWorking knowledge of cloud architectures including compute, networking, identity, security, and monitoring\r\nExperience with at least one enterprise cloud provider (Azure preferred; AWS also valuable)\r\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExperience with Azure Government Cloud (preferred) or AWS GovCloud\r\nExperience building Azure Landing Zones or AWS Control Tower–style landing zone architectures\r\nCertifications such as\r\nAzure (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500)\r\nAWS (Solutions Architect, SysOps, Security)\r\nEquivalent hands-on experience will be considered in place of certifications\r\nProficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)\r\nExperience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated environments\r\nFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD IL levels)\r\nTravel\r\nAs per business requirements\r\nThe following information is required by pay transparency legislation in the following states: CA, CO, HI, NY, and WA. This information applies only to individuals working in these states.\r\nThe anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $116,100 - 170,280\r\nThe anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $123,600 - 181,280\r\nThe anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $135,300 - 198,440\r\nUnless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time.
