Join Buckelew Programs and play a pivotal role in making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges in the North Bay.\nWe are hiring a new Program Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the Casa Rene program, a short-term, residential, crisis facility. This role ensures operational compliance with licensing regulations, accrediting agency standards, and Buckelew Programs (BP) policies and procedures. The Program Director supports the mission and values of BP through ethical conduct, confidentiality, and effective program delivery. In addition to operational oversight, the Program Director contributes to program development across the continuum of services and serves as a member of BP’s Leadership Team.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAdministrative Oversight\nLead planning, growth, staffing, and development of assigned program(s).\nSet annual program goals, objectives, and activities.\nCollaborate with financial staff to develop and monitor budgets; ensure expenditures align with approved budgets and policies.\nCoordinate with Administrative and Operations teams to maintain compliance with internal procedures.\nAssist Regional Director in fiscal and contract management responsibilities.\nStaff Management\nHire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers in line with agency policies.\nEnsure staff conduct proper client assessments and develop treatment/termination plans with appropriate referrals.\nManage program intake and client case assignments.\nCoordinate with Quality and Compliance staff to handle record requests and subpoenas.\nPartner with the People Team to ensure proper implementation of administrative processes.\nClinical Duties\nManage referrals, intake, and discharge processes and how it aligns with contracts.\nGuide staff in developing and implementing client treatment plans using psychosocial rehabilitation practices.\nManagement of staff documentation standards in designated Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.\nConduct periodic audits of client charts and ensure ongoing compliance with HIPAA, Medi-Cal, and contractual standards.\nIdentify and connect clients with community resources to enhance their program experience.\nProgram Quality & Compliance\nEnsure high-quality service delivery using evidence-based or industry-standard practices.\nMaintain compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including CARF, Medi-Cal, CCL, HUD, etc.\nOversee quality assurance activities and produce regular data and outcome reports.\nBusiness Development\nCultivate and expand current and new business opportunities through collaboration with internal and external partners.\nSupport senior management in public/private contract development and oversight.\nMonitor and adjust program design based on strategic goals and organizational values.\nCommunity Outreach & Engagement\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with community service providers and stakeholders.\nRepresent Buckelew Programs at community events, professional presentations, and public engagements.\nAssist Development Department in fundraising, grant proposals, reporting, and marketing efforts.\nPromote awareness of program services across the community and professional networks.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation & Experience\nMaster's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent).\nLicensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts preferred; may be required for certain programs.\nMinimum 3 years' experience in a mental health setting, including:\n2 years of direct service experience.\n2 years in an administrative/supervisory role.\n2 years in a residential or assisted independent living program (if applicable).\nExperience working with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders preferred.\nProfessional Requirements\nFluent in English; bilingual/bicultural preferred.\nStrong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).\nExperience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.\nValid California driver’s license, insurable driving record, and insured vehicle required.\nAbility to pass Live Scan background check (if applicable).\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nIntermittent activities: listening, talking, seeing, stretching, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting (up to 30 lbs), pushing, pulling, grasping.\nExtended activities: driving, writing, standing, typing, and sitting.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, promotes equality, and fosters inclusion.
