The Candidate will design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise Java web applications while contributing to modernization initiatives for large-scale business systems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions throughout the full application development lifecycle.\nRequired Qualifications for the Java Developer III:\nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and experience will be considered.\nMinimum of four (4) years of professional experience in application development, software engineering, systems testing, or a related technical discipline.\nHands-on experience developing applications using Java.\nExperience working with JDK 21.\nProficiency with JSON and XML.\nExperience developing and supporting enterprise web applications.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Skills/Experience of the Java Developer III:\nExperience with MongoDB.\nKnowledge of the Quarkus framework.\nExperience developing or deploying containerized applications.\nFamiliarity with application modernization or legacy system migration projects.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nResponsibilities of the Java Developer III:\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy enterprise Java-based web applications.\nEnhance and modernize existing applications using current technologies and development standards.\nCollaborate with developers, analysts, and quality assurance teams to deliver software solutions.\nTroubleshoot application issues and implement effective technical solutions.\nParticipate in code reviews and follow established development best practices.\nContribute to the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable software applications.\nWork Location: Hybrid work arrangement preferred with onsite work several days per week in Columbia, SC. Remote candidates may be considered based on business needs and qualifications.
