specifications, bulletins, articles, and marketing publications.\nAcquires or verifies knowledge of subject by interviewing workers engaged in developing new products and services or in making improvements, observing performance of experiments and methods of production, referring to blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and notes, trade and engineering journals, rewrites of articles, bulletins, manuals, or similar publications.\nThe candidate will be a member of the client’s Logistics and Sustainment Engineer (LSE) Branch, Technical Publication and Training team supporting the S&GS programs in Orlando, FL.\nSpecific responsibilities include:\nWrite, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively.\nAcquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and engineers, observing performance of production methods, and referring to technical specifications, modification kits, blueprints, engineering illustrations, schematics, and trade journals.\nOversee preparation of illustrative materials and Illustrated Parts Breakdown material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.\nConduct and Participate in project team meetings and meet deadlines as determined by project schedule.\nConduct quality review of materials.\nThis position may require occasional domestic travel.\nRequirements:\nBA from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.\n5 year minimum experience with MS Office, MS Word and Acrobat Authoring Tools.\n5 year minimum experience writing highly technical content for procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications that describes the installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.\n5 year minimum experience with highly technical subject matter content by interviewing engineers and other technical experts, observing production methods or other demonstrations, and reviewing technical specifications, modification kits, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications.\nAbility to discretely plan writing, editing and in-prosses reviews (both formal and informal) tasks required to complete project.\nAbility to manage project technical writing work from book plan/outline creation through on-time delivery.\nDemonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.\nDemonstrate ability and experience in working effectively with teams, including virtual teams, but also independently or with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrate ability and experience in meeting deadlines and quality standards.\nDemonstrate experience in using and applying clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions.\nDesired Skills\nProduct Life Cycle knowledge\nSpreadsheet-savvy\nSupply Chain
