Maintenance Support
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Inspect public spaces, and back of the house areas to repair, touch up, or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.This job requires the individual to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires a considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Inspect public spaces, and back of the house areas to repair, touch up, or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.This job requires the individual to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires a considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance tradesBasic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently on the jobPerforming duties requires experience in using basic hand and power toolsKeeping detailed records in English is required for logs and inspection sheetsMaintain inventory of supplies as needed to perform all job functionsReport major repairs and items which cannot be repaired to the manager for further actionAny and all other duties as assigned; duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Basic experience in maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry requiredAny combination of experience, or training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesHigh school diploma preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS:Must be reliable and responsibleKnowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of facilitySkill in the use of related tools PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneelingAbility to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbsAbility to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet for extended periods of time, with the ability to reach, often times overheadAbility to grasp, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally waist high Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
