This is a foundational hire: you'll be given wide technical latitude and trusted to help shape our DevOps culture, tooling, and long-term approach to reliability and automation.\n\nWe're looking for someone who loves enabling engineering teams through thoughtful infrastructure design, has strong opinions about CI/CD and observability best practices, and thrives in a high-trust, fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nBuild and maintain Github CI/CD pipelines to accelerate developer velocity and minimize deployment risk.\n\nArchitect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) for high availability, scalability, and security.\n\nMonitor and improve system observability: logging, metrics, alerting, on-call response.\n\nCollaborate with software and hardware teams to support test infrastructure, simulation environments, and production deployments.\n\nLead the implementation of best practices in infrastructure security and cost optimization.\n\nEstablish incident response protocols and support root cause analysis.\n\nHelp shape DevOps processes, tools, and team culture as we scale.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE role.\n\nProficiency with cloud platforms like AWS.\n\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.\n\nStrong background in scripting (e.g. Python, Bash).\n\nSolid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes or ECS).\n\nFamiliarity with system observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).\n\nExcellent debugging and incident management skills.\n\nComfortable owning large initiatives end-to-end with minimal oversight.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience supporting production systems in a defense, robotics, or hardware-adjacent environment.\n\nKnowledge of airgapped or secure deployment environments.\n\nFamiliarity with compliance standards (e.g. FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, or CMMC).\n\nExposure to embedded systems build pipelines or cross-compilation toolchains.\n\nPassion for automation, infrastructure design, and enabling engineering teams.\n\nExperience in infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).\n\nAdditional Requirements\nAvailable to work extended hours and weekends as needed\nITAR Requirements\n\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
