Qualified applicants will need to work collaboratively, under the direction of the Youth Programs Director, to implement effective leadership training, organizing, and civic engagement programming targeting Asian American and Pacific Islander (“AAPI”) students and their networks, and assist with the implementation of the national youth program. This is a full time exempt salaried position with a competitive compensation and benefits package.LOCATION: Either be living in the DMV area or willing to move to Washington, D.C.REPORTS TO: Youth Programs DirectorAPPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, May 15th, 2026SALARY: $54,334.00 - $ 59,887.00RESPONSIBILITIESSpearhead the APIAVote Ambassador Program by:Overseeing the recruitment and outreach of AAPI focused college student organizationsManaging the onboarding, retainment and offboarding of all Ambassador campusesCoordinating Ambassador monthly calls and curriculumDelivering regular communication between APIAVote and the Ambassador campusesConducting monthly one on one meetings with assigned Ambassador campusesSupport the implementation of all Norman Y. Mineta University Regional TrainingsCoordinate and facilitate, with guidance from the Youth Programs Director, APIAVote’s presence at AAPI youth conferences like ECAASU, MAASU, and PISACONAssist the Youth Programs Director in the management of the Youth Network Board Draft monthly Youth Newsletters with editorial guidance from the Strategic Communications teamSupport all APIAVote programs including the summer Congressional reception, intern training and programming, fundraising events and other programs.Serve as the APIAVote representative alongside the Youth Programs Director in coalitions such as Students Learn Students Vote (SLSV) Coalition.Develop opportunities for students to connect with and engage in the broader political, policy, and organizing ecosystem at the federal and state levels; and across the AANHPI organizing ecosystem Supervise 1-2 Youth Interns, as neededREQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSTwo years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience in youth organizing, AAPI organizing and student leadership development;Preferred: 2 years of experience in AAPI college student organizing strategy and tactics, preferably in non-partisan issue and/or electoral based organizing and grassroots activism;Experience working with the AAPI student led and serving organizations on college/university campuses, and a familiarity of national AAPI student conferences and coalitions like ECAASU, MAASU, PISACON, or other related organizations; Strong public speaking skills;Experience in community and coalition building;Ability to tap into your own personal base and network, as well as quickly develop new ones for APIAVote’s programs;Organized workstyle with strong administrative and communications skills; Experience developing and editing high-quality written materials and presentations, including fact sheets, talking points, statements, etc.;Committed to the mission and goals of APIAVote, and actively practices inclusion and understanding the diverse needs of the AAPI community.Willingness to travel up to 30% to facilitate conferences and deliver training programs.Interested applicants please upload your resume, cover letter, and 2-3 references to this Google Doc form.
