This position requires a blend of strategic and financial competencies (financial modeling, organized summaries, deck‑building, articulating narratives to stakeholders, etc.), data analytical skills (strong Excel, R, and SQL proficiencies), attention to detail, and a passion for TV and film.\n\nResponsibilities And Duties Of The Role\nCreate and assemble portfolio level content analyses, models, summaries, data visualizations, and decks using Excel and other data analytical/visualization tools such as R and SQL that create compelling presentations on\n\nperformance of programming initiatives (including first‑party and third‑party content across various windows) and content trends in major markets;\n\nbenchmark portfolio performance metrics against investment targets;\n\nsynthesize insights and recommendations for leadership on content strategy.\n\nPerform title‑level deal valuation modeling/analyses and 3P content performance reports to support content acquisition deals for U.S. and international territories, and seek new ways to further optimize valuation approaches and improve ROI on the acquisitions.\n\nMaintain, update, curate, and automate key content metadata datasets (e.g., attributes, categorization, rights information) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and usability across reporting and analytical systems by leveraging internal databases and advanced data/AI tools.\n\nDevelop and support content economics frameworks and financial models that inform content valuation, portfolio optimization, and content strategy by incorporating key revenue, cost, and margin dynamics.\n\nRequired Education, Experience/Skills/Training\n\n4‑year degree in relevant fields (e.g., Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business) with strong academic performance.\n\n3+ years of work experience preferably in analytical, finance, or strategy roles or other quantitative fields (internship experience acceptable).\n\nProficiency in R, SQL, and Excel for data analysis, transformation, and modeling.\n\nComfortable working on multiple workstreams concurrently and able to effectively prioritize, communicate progress to project teams, maintain quality of work, and meet deadlines.\n\nHigh aptitude, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and financial modeling.\n\nAbility to bring new perspectives on processes and analytical approaches with the ability to lead small projects with minimal guidance.\n\nStrong data and strategic storytelling skills, including the ability to produce executive‑ready presentations and communicate complex analyses to a variety of leaders and stakeholders (e.g., financial, strategic, and/or creative leadership).\n\nHigh EQ, professional maturity, and ability to engage with senior stakeholders with developed opinions.\n\nMotivated, proactive, disciplined, flexible, with an enthusiastic and optimistic attitude.\n\nCollaborative, coachable team‑player willing to receive and give guidance to peers and new members.\n\nFamiliarity with basic‑to‑intermediate statistical concepts and analysis techniques.\n\nDemonstrated interest in the entertainment and/or tech industries.\n\nPreferred\n\nProven track record of automating recurring analytical or reporting processes.\n\nExperience with Python, Tableau, Databricks, or other data analytics tools is a plus.\n\nThe hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $126,800.00 – $154,800.00 per year.
