This position demonstrates expert comprehension of the Salesforce system as it relates to company business, including the underlying program infrastructure and associated data models. The Salesforce Program Developer works to automate the Salesforce software system and integrate across domains, platforms and environments for increased efficiency and functionality of company business.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\n\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nAnalyze, design, develop, test, and assist in the implementation of creative, innovative, and secure software solutions within the Salesforce system.\nPerform software integration between Salesforce, platforms, and environments.\nIdentify and correct software defects, assist administrative staff users with system capabilities.\nPerform technical system configuration and identify alternative solutions for software applications.\nPartner with Salesforce representatives for defect resolution as needed.\nIndependently resolve highly complex issues.\nCreate and develop methods of system automation and subsequent integration with other systems.\nCollaborate with the Systems Administrator to determine Salesforce CRM needs and goals for continuous improvement of company usage of the platform.\nEffectively communicate through clear, direct, and respectful communication.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExtensive experience working with Salesforce CRM platforms, including use of Apex, SOQL, Aura components, and Lightning Web components.\nExpertise in organizationally accepted programming, scripting, markup languages, and frameworks (e.g., Java, Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, T-SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, Angular, ReactJS, ASP.NET, Python).\nExpertise in the usage of tools used for software development (e.g., Visual Studio, Chrome Developer Tools, SQL ServerManagement Studio).\nSuperb knowledge of the principles and patterns of system design (e.g., MVC, CQRS).\nStrong skills in testing patterns (e.g., unit testing, inversion of control, dependency injection).\nExpert in data analysis, test design, and test automation focusing on functional, security, and performance.\nExpert in the development of web services (e.g., SOAP and REST).\nStrong skills in the use of code repository tools such as SVN and GitHub.\nExcellent skills in the use of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and source code management.\nStrong understanding of secure coding techniques and best practices.\nStrong understanding of web application architecture.\nStrong understanding of the software development process.\nProven understanding of organizationally accepted technology standards.\nStrong understanding of software development in a multi-platform environment.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.\nValid Salesforce certification credentials – Platform Developer 1 or 2.\nFive or more years of experience working with Salesforce, particularly the Lightning components.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nLimited periods of standing, walking, reaching, stretching may be required.\nFrequent communication verbally and electronically.\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.\nOther Requirements:\nMust pass and maintain background clearance as defined by Oregon State Background Regulations.\nNote:\nThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
