A/V Field Service Technician – L3 / Site Lead6-Month Contract to HireOnsite – Milwaukee, WISynergis’ client, a services organization focused on connecting people, technology and experiences, has engaged us in a search for an A/V Field Service Technician – Site Lead (L3) to join their expanding team! This senior-level role is responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting and repair of audio-visual systems at an assigned client site in the Milwaukee, WI area, while also serving as the primary on-site lead for day-to-day operations, team coordination, and client relationship ownership. Environments supported range from corporate conference rooms to control center technology.A/V Field Service Technician – Site Lead | Background and ScopeServe as the primary on-site lead, acting as the main point of contact for the client and the escalation anchor for all site-level technical issuesOversee day-to-day site operations, including task assignment, workflow coordination, and quality of work performed by on-site team membersOwn the client relationship at the site level, ensuring superior client satisfaction and the renewal and growth of the onsite support agreementTroubleshoot system issues and resolve issues with efficiency and quality; serve as final on-site escalation for complex or recurring faultsTroubleshoot, verify, and document performance using a wide range of test equipmentProvide a superior level of support to clients during maintenance and repair of AV equipmentConduct Preventative Maintenance visits to ensure all client AV systems and rooms are operating at optimum levelsWork with programmers to load updated Control Programming Files and test changes as neededCoordinate resolution with internal Engineering, remote support teams, and Manufacturers as necessaryAct as the liaison with the Account Representative and Sales Teams to advance any client-requested or necessary room upgradesWork with manufacturers to secure return authorizations and/or parts replacements related to field service ticketsTrack all time including travel and labor associated with field service tickets via the client’s ticketing systemProduce summary and detailed reports on site activity, open issues, and system health for client and management reviewArticulate troubleshooting actions, next step actions, recommendations and/or resolution prior to leaving client or before end of day where possibleProvide operational support for meetings and events as requiredCoax, ethernet and fiber optic cable testing and troubleshootingDevelop and manage an inventory tracking/recording mechanism for all site AV assetsResponsible for maintaining personal licenses, certifications and qualificationsA/V Field Service Technician – Site Lead | Requirements3+ years of AV support experience in a corporate/enterprise environment requiredPrior experience in a lead, supervisory, or senior technician capacity strongly preferredTroubleshooting experience with video walls, control systems, and DSPAdvanced competencies in Crestron and QSC control systemsExperience with video conferencing, unified communications (UC), and collaboration platforms including Zoom and MS TeamsAble to read and understand functional design drawings, cable riser diagrams, and architectural drawingsSuperior client relationship management is a requirement for this position (i.e. exhibiting the ability to create an atmosphere of tension relief during high stress encounters)AVIXA CTS Certification required or must be obtained within first 90 daysFamiliarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipmentKnowledgeable of low voltage electrical concepts i.e., Ohm’s lawIntermediate to advanced networking skillsPreference will be given to those applicants possessing any of the following:AVIXA CTS, Biamp, Crestron, or Networking/IT related certificationsExperience with brands including Logitech, Shure, QSC, Ross, Dante Audio, Matrox, and related AV platformsPrevious experience as a site lead or primary client-facing technicianExperience supporting and mentoring junior techniciansExperience supporting internal and external client relationships at a senior levelForward-thinking individual, with diligence and efficiency in multi-taskingExcellent communications and client service skills, with consistent follow-throughDetail oriented and technically savvyA/V Field Service Technician – Site Lead | OtherAssociates degree / high school diploma is a minimum requirement for this position; postsecondary or technical school degree preferredMust have a valid driver’s license and adhere to insurance requirementsDemonstrate a legal ability to work within the United States via I9 verification.
