This position plays a critical role in helping maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and structured environment for the youth we serve.If you take pride in cleanliness, organization, and creating positive spaces for others, we encourage you to apply.Position OverviewThe Residential Environment Specialist position is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of the residential group home. This role helps ensure the home remains safe, comfortable, and presentable for youth, staff, visitors, and licensing requirements.This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while supporting a mission-driven environment.What You'll DoMaintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the residential homeClean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and common areasSweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces dailyAssist with laundry, linen changes, and trash removalHelp maintain organization and cleanliness standards throughout the homeMonitor and report supply needs or maintenance concernsSupport staff with meal preparation/cooking assistanceEnsure the home remains welcoming, professional, and inspection-readyFollow agency safety procedures and sanitation standardsPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessDependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work independently and stay productivePositive attitude and professional demeanorAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a residential settingSomeone who takes pride in creating clean and organized spacesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, or residential support experience preferred but not requiredAbility to safely lift and move cleaning supplies and equipmentAbility to pass required background checks and clearancesWhy Join Unk's Place?At Unk's Place, we believe the environment matters.
