{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"fc2c71de1e36a4f14f811bfc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fc2c71de1e36a4f14f811bfc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fc2c71de1e36a4f14f811bfc","title":"Embedded Software Engineer","description":"Job Description\n\nJob Title:Embedded Software Engineer Location:Pittsburgh, PA (On-site) Employment Type:Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)\r\nAbout the Opportunity ZipStaff is seeking anEmbedded Software Engineerto design, develop, test, and support embedded software and systems for a global leader in heavy equipment and industrial machinery.\r\nIn this role, you will apply computer science and engineering principles to deliver reliable embedded software from requirements through production deployment, working closely with engineering teams on product-line development.\r\nWhat You’ll Do:Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through production and commercial deployment.\r\nAnalyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.\r\nParticipate in the full software development lifecycle — requirements, design, development, testing, and delivery.\r\nTroubleshoot embedded software and system issues and implement effective resolutions.\r\nRead and interpret schematics and component data sheets as part of development and debugging activities.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.\r\nSupport coding and documentation activities related to embedded system development.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\r\n3–5+ yearsof hands-on embedded software development experience.\r\nSolid programming experience inC or C++(Python experience a plus).\r\nKnowledge of reading schematics and component data sheets.\r\nWorking knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (requirements through testing and delivery).\r\nAbility to troubleshoot embedded software and system issues and implement fixes.\r\nStrong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.\r\nAbility to workon-site in Pittsburgh, PA.\r\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with embedded systems in industrial, automotive, or heavy equipment environments.\r\nFamiliarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or common embedded development toolchains.\r\nExposure to communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) or hardware-software integration.About ZipStaff ZipStaff partners with leading organizations to connect skilled technology and engineering professionals with high-impact contract opportunities.
