These include pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative functions. All surgical team members must adhere to the principles of asepsis and the practice of sterile technique. Honesty and moral integrity are necessary to uphold these standards.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities:\r\nPreoperative Case Management\r\nDon operating room (OR) attire and personal protective equipment (PPE)\r\nPrepare the OR\r\nGather necessary equipment and supplies\r\nCreate and maintain the sterile field\r\nPerforms a surgical scrub and don sterile gown and gloves\r\nOrganize the sterile field for use\r\nCount necessary items\r\nAssist team members during entry of the sterile field\r\nExpose the operative site with sterile drapes\r\nIntraoperative Case Management\r\nMaintain the sterile field\r\nPass instrumentation, equipment, and supplies to the surgeon and surgical assistant as needed\r\nAssess and predict (anticipate) the needs of the patient and surgeon and provide the necessary items in order of need\r\nMedication preparation and handling\r\nSpecimen care\r\nDressing application\r\nPostoperative Case Management\r\nMaintenance of the sterile field until the patient is transported\r\nRemoval of used instruments, equipment, and supplies from the OR\r\nCare and maintenance of instruments, equipment, and supplies following use\r\nPreparation of the OR for the next patient\r\nPerform other related duties as assigned, including supply order and rotation to CSSD as assigned\r\nYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.\r\nRequired Qualifications:\r\nCurrent WA State Surgical Technologist Registration (ST) or ability to obtain by start date\r\nCurrent AHA/BLS Certification\r\nPreferred Qualifications:\r\nGraduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technologists\r\nCurrent ORT (Operating Room Technician) certification\r\n2+ years of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting or a busy multi-specialty ASC\r\nPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
