Reporting to the Area Supervisor, this position plays an integral part on the team by ensuring efficient, safe, and precise operation of manufacturing machinery to produce high-quality products that mees or exceed industry standards. This role is critical in maintaining production schedules and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nMachine Setup: o Accurately understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawing to determine machining requirements\nChoose appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the material and install and align them correctly. oSecure Raw material in the chuck or fixture, ensuring it is properly alighted and centered.\nOperation: o Adhere to assigned production schedules and meet or exceed daily production targets.\nOperate the machine to perform such tasks as turning, facing, threading, drilling, and boring. Following specific instructions for each operation. oContinuously monitor the machining process, making adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality.\nUsing measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts during and after machining to ensure they meet specifications.\nWork Area Maintenance: o Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.\nNotify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.\nSafety Compliance: o Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment.\nHelp leadership identify areas of improvement to establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.\nPerform other related duties as assigned\nJob Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\n12 years of warehouse experience preferred\nMust be able to read a tape measure\nAbility to read O.D. and I.D. mics preferred\nAbility to safely use and lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds\nAbility to bend, kneel, and stand for up to 8 hours per day\nPrompt and regular attendance required\nCapabilities\nAdaptability: o Approaches change or newness positively.\nAdjust to changing procedures for accomplishing work.\nContributing to Team Success: o Provides necessary resources or helps remove obstacles to help the team accomplish its goal.\nShares important or relevant information with the team regularly. oFulfills team responsibilities; demonstrates personal commitment to the team.\nCommunication: o Communicate ideas clearly and effectively.\nUses appropriate nonverbal communication (eye contact, gestures, posture) when communicating with others. oPay attention to communication from others.\nInitiating Action: o Take immediate action when confronted with a problem or when made aware of a situation.\nDo not wait for others to take action or to request action. oIdentify ways to make a job easier or more productive.\nSafety Awareness o Identifies safety issues and problems by checking equipment and/or work area regularly.\nReports or corrects unsafe working conditions. oDisplay knowledge of all related safety or security regulations.\nFollow safety and security procedures on the job.\nBenefits\n\nAt Hyperion Solutions, Inc. we understand that our employees are our most valuable asset.
