SCPFO Procurement Consultant
Procurement Analyst/Consultant/SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled Procurement Analyst/Consultant/Specialist to support strategic sourcing and category management initiatives within a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role serves as a subject matter expert in procurement strategy, contract negotiation, and supplier management, helping drive value across labor, materials, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, negotiation expertise, and experience working cross-functionally to deliver high-impact sourcing solutions.
Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing and procurement activities for complex, high-value goods and services
Analyze business requirements and align procurement strategies to meet organizational goals
Execute strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFPs/RFQs/RFX processes
Support and contribute to category management strategy development
Conduct market, supplier, and spend analysis to inform sourcing decisions
Lead cross-functional teams through sourcing events and contract execution
Develop and execute negotiation strategies; lead supplier negotiations
Draft and manage contracts, including pricing, scope, performance metrics, and terms & conditions
Ensure contract compliance and manage supplier performance
Mitigate risk and maximize contract value through effective contract administration
Coordinate delivery logistics for equipment and materials, including transportation and storage
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Partner with shared services teams to ensure alignment with procurement strategies
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related fieldOR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceExperience level based on role:Analyst:3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or customer-facing experience
Consultant:5+ years of relevant experience, including cross-functional collaboration
Specialist:7+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, supply chain, or related fieldExperience with strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in category management and strategic sourcing methodologies
Industry experience in utilities, manufacturing, construction, or similar sectors
Background in contract management, legal/paralegal support, or supplier risk management
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive sourcing initiatives
Experience working with procurement systems, spend analytics, and sourcing tools
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate favorable business outcomes
