Benefit Consultant and Producer
Position Overview:Mark III Employee Benefits seeks a skilled Employee Benefit professional to advise clients and expand our reach. You will guide clients through complex insurance decisions, analyze financial situations, and ensure regulatory compliance to design successful benefit plans. This role involves high-level consultations, financial reporting, and managing client relationships to ensure customized, effective benefits administration.Job Duties:Client ConsultationsMeet with clients to assess their complex health and life insurance needsDevelop customized and complex insurance strategies to help clients meet their financial goals, whether it be for group health plans, life insurance, or group coverage for businesses.Collect, analyze and interpret claims and utilization data from carriers and vendors and prepare reporting for clientsAssist clients in reviewing their existing insurance policies and recommend adjustments based on changes in circumstances or industry trends.Offer guidance during the claims process, assisting clients in understanding coverage and helping them file claims if necessary. Provide clients with the insights they need to make benefit decisions and manage the financial risk of their benefit plans through data analytics, reporting and plan design modeling.Insurance Plan RecommendationsProvide clients with competitive insurance quotes and explain the terms, coverage, exclusions, and premiums.Ensure all insurance advice complies with local, state, and national regulations and insurance laws.Ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of all documentation, including applications, renewals, and policy changes.Customer ServiceMaintain strong relationships with clients, offering continued support throughout the life of the policy.Regularly follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and adjust plans as necessary over time.Maintain knowledge of health and welfare benefit vendor capabilitiesProvide clients with the insights they need to make benefit decisions and manage the financial risk of their benefit plans through data analytics, reporting and plan design modeling. Required Qualifications:Education: BA/BS Degree. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or Data Science/Analytics is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions for clients' complex healthcare benefit plans.Preferred Qualifications:Licensing: Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.In-depth knowledge of insurance products and services.Strong, innovative sales and marketing skills, with the ability to successfully market organizational strengths.Well-versed mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.Strong sales skills to drive client acquisition and retention.Some underwriting experience is preferred.To learn more, visit https://markiiieb.com or follow us on LinkedIn
