Senior Systems Engineer (DoD Cleared Integration & Technical Leadership)
We are supporting a DoD program seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and support the design, integration, and implementation of complex IT solutions across a multi-technology environment. This role will help drive technical direction, support system improvements, and ensure alignment with mission and operational requirements.This is a strong fit for someone with a deep engineering background who has taken on technical leadership responsibilities and contributed to system design efforts, while remaining hands-on.ResponsibilitiesLead and support the design, integration, and implementation of IT systems across multiple platforms and technologiesCoordinate technical efforts across teams to ensure alignment with system requirements and project goalsContribute to system design discussions and long-term technical planningEvaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and solutions to improve system performance and scalabilityDevelop and maintain system documentation, technical plans, and design artifactsSupport project planning efforts including scope, timelines, and implementation approachesReview system designs to ensure efficiency, scalability, and proper integrationTroubleshoot and help resolve complex system and performance issuesInterface with cross-functional teams to address production and technical challengesMentor junior engineers and provide guidance on engineering best practicesRequired QualificationsActive Secret clearanceIAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)5-8+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related fieldExperience supporting DoD or federal IT environmentsStrong experience with system integration and enterprise environmentsExperience contributing to system design or technical directionPreferred QualificationsExperience leading technical teams or serving as a senior/lead engineerFamiliarity with system architecture concepts and enterprise design principlesExposure to security, information assurance, or compliance frameworksExperience supporting complex or mission-critical environmentsKaztronix is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, veteran status or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws.
