Concrete and Soil Field Technician

Achievement Engineering Corp. (Achieveng) is looking to hire a CONCRETE AND SOILS FIELD TECHNICIAN to join our team! We are working as a QA firm for the CA High-Speed Rail package 1 & 2-3 and, currently, we are looking to hire full-time Concrete and Soils Field Technician in the Central Valley Area, CA. If you meet/possess the following criteria - we want to hear from you! Candidates for this position MUST POSSESS the following certifications: American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 Certification Nuclear Gauge & Radiation Safety Training Any of the following additional certifications are desirable but not required: Any Caltrans lab or field certifications Any other ACI Technician Certifications Any International Code Council (ICC) Special Inspector Certifications Pre-stressed/Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) Level II Certification American Welding Society (AWS) – Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification Any Non-Destructive Testing (NDT / NDE) Level II or Level III Certifications (through ASNT preferred). Additionally, the applicant must meet/possess the following qualifications: Minimum education of a High School Diploma or Equivalent. Available in/near the Central Valley Area, CA. A valid Class C Driver's License issued by the California DMV, with a clean driving record. The ability to read & interpret construction plans & specifications, and enforce their applications. The ability to keep records & prepare reports. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral methods, such as in-person and/or by telephone, & through written methods, such as via email. A comfortable proficiency with general computer use. Be able & open to learning & applying specific provisions of applicable codes, ordinances, & regulations mandated by appropriate jurisdictions. The ability to perform inspections by applying technical knowledge & following proper inspection techniques to examine workmanship and materials, as well as to detect deviations from plans, regulations, & standard construction practices. The ability to adapt to different working conditions (i.e. sitting, walking, in/outdoor settings, open/closed spaces, etc.). The ability to lift and/or carry a maximum of 50 pounds. Be able & open to establishing & maintaining good working relationships with company personnel & clients alike.
