This individual will support all phases of the software engineering lifecycle to produce solutions that satisfy a range of customer requirements.\r\nEssential Functions Assists in the planning and execution of large technical projects\r\nApplies software engineering designs and principles throughout the software lifecycle\r\nAbility to define requirements and workflows that feed into working software components that meet technical, schedule, and design-to-cost goals\r\nPerform unit, integration, and system testing activities\r\nCommunicate effectively with team members throughout the organization\r\nSupport bid and proposal activities including cost and schedule estimation\r\nProvide guidance, coaching, and training to employees\r\nMake significant improvements in processes, systems, or products\r\nProvide inputs into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have a measurable impact on business or functional results\r\nGenerate technical documentation in support of software releases\r\nQualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar and 9 years of prior relevant experience.\r\nGraduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.\r\nIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.\r\nExperience using C/C++ to develop embedded software\r\nExperience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)\r\nExperience leading an engineering team.\r\nExperience writing low level software such as drivers and Board Support Packages (BSPs)\r\nBasic knowledge of hardware design, circuits, schematics, & test equipment\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nPreferred Additional Skills Experience with Communication Protocols such as Ethernet, RS422, 1553, GigE Vision, CoaXPress, and Camera Link\r\nExperience with Python\r\nExperience with Subversion for software version control\r\nExperience with Windows and Linux Development Environments\r\nExperience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and basic lab equipment\r\nExperience in the Defense, Space, Aerospace, or similar industries\r\nBasic understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)\r\nL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
